My God, they are dropping like flies.

Billy Mays, the television commercial pitchman WHO LOVED TO YELL ABOUT THE PRODUCTS, has died at age 50. Goodness. Haven't heard about any cause of death yet. That is so sad. 50 is way too young. And now who will yell at us during commercials? I feel bad about making fun of his ads now. In inteviews he seemed like a decent guy.

*cringes*

Yes, Michael Jackson is dead. Yes, it is very sad. But is it really necessary to report on every tiny detail and rehash stuff we already know? I'm sick of the wall to wall coverage, and I was actually a fan! (fan of old MJ, not Wacko Jacko of his later years!)

Of course, this is like Elvis dying...at least for my generation. There probably won't be another entertainer like him again.

A new Angel in Heaven...

Charlie's Angels star Farrah Fawcett has died after a brave three year battle with cancer at age 62. I grew up during the 70's, so of course I remember the iconic hair and the poster every teen boy had on their walls. But I also remember that she did some fine dramatic work on television, such as in The Burning Bed. RIP.

Well, phooey.

Ed McMahon died this morning. He was 86 and had cancer, but damn, it's still sad. I never really got to watch The Tonight Show during the Johnny Carson years, but I always enjoyed Ed and Johnny's banter when I did watch. RIP, Ed. Say hi to Johnny for us.

Criminal Intent: Family Values

Oh, that was creepy. Religious nut decides his family needs to be sent to heaven, so he starts killing them off. The end is a battle of wits between Goren and the dad on good and evil- Dad is really serving evil! *shudders* I know these kind of religious folks are in a big minority, but it's still scary drama!

I don't think it's Christian-bashing either. Just a nut job using his religion as an excuse to commit "family annihilation".

Other news- I suppose it's official- no second series for All the Small Things. *cries* Fans are sending petitions, but it won't do any good. :( BBC doesn't care about fans, apparently.

Ah, You Tube!

My source for finding older BBC stuff. Found this odd little gem- Bunk Bed Boys. A pilot...which happens to star Bryan Dick! A very early appearance, along with Sally Hawkins. Cute and funny...about a very odd family.

Seriously, NBC?

10.5 Apocolypse sucked the first time you aired it. Why the repeat now?

No wonder they're in last place. :p

Law and Order miscellaneous...

Special Victims Unit ended its tenth season last week with an entertaining episode. I still can't believe it's coming back, as is the orginial Law and Order for its twentieth season.

I'm enjoying Criminal Intent, though the stories often get repetitive. Nichols is a bit too much like Goren...with one exception: He has a sense of humor. I'm hoping that Jeff Goldblum sticks around!

There's really not much else on that I'm interested in right now. That will change later this month when Doctor Who and Torchwood return!
